Your library needs Verbs
Having started my working life in the world as a 16-year-old librarian at the Morganton-Burke Public Library (where I will give the keynote this February 12th at their annual Author's Luncheon, which tickles me no end), I must admit that I am partial to libraries. I like the idea that knowledge is to be shared and resources pooled and new reading adventures to be had in those stacks. And so when Rick Hamrick wrote with pictures of Life is a Verb at his local library, I was thrilled.
So imagine my continued delight today when Janey Davis sent a photo of herself and her friend Marianna Digiacomo with the new copies of Life is a Verb at the Stack County Library, where they work. Janey was one of my fabulous hosts in Canton, Ohio, when I visited and did a reading there, and I am still dreaming of that cauliflower dish at that Middle Eastern restaurant where we ate…
How about your public library? Would you ask? I bet they'll order a few copies for the fine people of your fair county to enjoy. And that would make me very very happy in a librarian kinda way.
