  • That’s so sweet! My eldest niece (17 now) would write notes from Santa Clause to leave for her 7-years-younger sister. The whole family let the youngest hold onto the Santa fantasy as long as possible (she finally figured it out last year). They did some wonderful stuff to encourage her to believe…but like that blogger’s daughter acting as the Tooth Fairy, there’s something especially poignant when a sibling steps in to take over that role.

  • No doubt the sister came up with way more fairy-like answers, too, since she is still close to the land of magic whence we all come.

Life is “magic” , isn’t it?

Be assured that the” Tooth Fairy” is just as real as I am. You just need to have faith and believe…
I am sharing this poem that I happen to love:

    “Tooth Fairy Poem”
    (anon)

    Believe in the fairies
    That make dreams come true,
    Believe in the wonder
    The stars and the moon,
    Believe in the magic
    From the fairies above,
    They dance on the flowers
And sing the songs of love,
    And if you just believe,
    And always stay true,
    The fairies will be there
    To watch over you

Just tucked some dough under my 10 year old’s pillow for the tooth that finally came out yesterday…could hardly sleep all night wondering when I was going to get in there, and heaven help me, would I forget! So again, timely and sweet and helping me savor this moment because none of them last long.

    Thanks Patti.
