verbs are in the tongue and groove
The fabulous Marilyn Maciel at "tongue and groove" interviewed me this week--provocative, interesting, timely questions–as part of the Blog Tour ’08 to celebrate the launch of Life is a Verb.
Way back in the very beginning of 37days, Marilyn started visiting–and commenting. Her voice stands out for me as one of the very first to engage fully with the words that I was flinging out into the universe. She and a few others dove into these essays that were deemed "far too long for blog posts" by some, leaving precious signs of their presence for me to savor and learn from. Marilyn stuck around, and has for three years. We’ve never met, but it feels like we have.
I knew from reading Marilyn’s blogs over the years that she is a poet and so it seemed only natural that I would invite her to include some of her poetry in Life is a Verb. You’ll find her work on pages 42 and 200.
My thanks to Marilyn–for the thought-provoking interview–but for much more, too.
