Thanksgiving generosity finds a kidney

Amazing2-thumb Thanks to the word spreading on blogs, on Twitter, on Facebook, and in many other ways, young 15-year-old Marielle will receive a new kidney. My thanks for all of you who offered to help by being tested to see if you were a match. Thank you for saving her life and for demonstrating the kind of presence we can hold for other humans.

This made my day to know that Marielle will receive a kidney. Knowing my own medical condition would not allow me to be a donor, I seriously prayed for this young girl. With all that is cra-zy making in our world, this modern day miracle gives me a glimmer of hope for our humankind. The miracle is not only the medical technology, but the generosity of someone (so many someones) who will be a donor-I chose to believe this is what we really are about. Thank you to the donor and all who chose to be involved.
