Snow

There is a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in. -Leonard Cohen

I love this photo taken by Mr Brilliant after our most recent snowstorm.

What does it mean to change our perspective? To see through to something else? To find the opening that allows us to see new things?

To see. Not just look, walk past, point a camera at.

But see.

We lose the ability to see. We see what we expect to see. Not what's really there. Or what could be.

We rue the cracks … when the cracks are the very thing that let the light in.

We see snow on the surface of the ground, forgetting to look up.

See.

What can you see differently today? A look up? A look through? A look into?

Today, see. Just see.

  • I love this – the photo, the quote, your words. Thank you!

  • Gorgeous, Patti, thank you. And thanks to Mr. Brilliant for the photo!

Sometimes, the broken frame is the only way to see past a fossilized view into the heart of things-as-they-are.

  • Hi Patti

Incredibly beautiful and unique. The photo reminds me even within our brokenness, the light of grace and that astonishing light of our own “Being” will emerge!

    Thank you Patti….
