your daily rock : follow the thread

“We sleep, but the loom of life never stops, and the pattern which was weaving when the sun went down is weaving when it comes up in the morning.” -Henry Ward Beecher

I love libraries for many reasons, among them this one: Wandering in library stacks is a beautifully physical way to follow a thread as you pick up a book and notice the one next to it, and another in the next row that stands out for whatever reason… And suddenly a whole tapestry of knowing, and understanding, has been woven by those threads–if we don’t stop the process by “staying on task.”

What thread can you allow yourself to follow today?

Love,
