One-on-One Coaching

It’s the starting that stops us. Getting started (or re-started) on a writing project is often the hardest part. You are not alone in getting stuck or not being able to consistently find the time to write. 

Are you feeling stuck on a writing project? Are your walls covered in sticky notes, but you can’t seem to use any of those ideas to move things forward, or feel overwhelmed by them?

This is noy a manuscript evaluation, but a coaching session to address the things that are stopping you. Rather than focus on your writing itself, we’ll focus on your writing process, talk through the struggles, and find some pragmatic solutions that are tailored to your situation. 

• Are you disorganized, with ideas and writing in many different places?
• Are you stuck, unable to start?
• Do you have questions about the process of writing?
• Do you struggle with finding the time to write?
• Do you have too many ideas of what to write about, and find it difficult to choose one?
• Are you afraid to write a memoir because you don’t want your family to read it?
• Are you afraid of rejection, so you don’t send your work out?

To apply for coaching, I’ll need to receive a 1-page statement of your most pressing concerns about your writing process–what is happening for you? What are your main concerns that you would like us to address together? This will help me prepare and will help you “own” what’s going on in your writing life. 

One hour by phone or Zoom – $200

Follow-up Appointments are $150 for one hour.
