Strong Offer Friday: how to work and learn with me now

I explore ideas, alone and in community. I open space for learning communities to form and flourish. I challenge myself to create safe spaces where learning can deepen. I write, I teach, I create retreats, and offer them to the world. On Strong Offer Fridays, I’ll highlight what’s coming up in my world, what I’m teaching and learning, and ideas I hope will help you in your work and life. I hope these posts will spark not only your desire to work with me, but your journey to follow the desire lines of your own ideas as well.

What is a strong offer? A strong offer is an offer made without attachment to outcome, without comparison to what others are offering, without apology for the beauty and richness (and quirkiness) of your own ideas. It is the truest, fullest expression of your voice, let loose into the world without any hint of apology or deflection. It is you, creating and offering, creating and offering, creating and offering. Here are some of mine:

Learn to ride the energy of your life’s waves

Creative Life Waves is my new, powerful offer, one that scares the hell out of me and exhilarates me at the same time. Working with Guilford College professor and photographer Maia Dery, we are creating unique learning experiences around the world for adventurous women who want to push themselves–and find themselves–in creative, embodied experiences.

Our retreats are based on the premise that we all learn, create, and find meaning with our bodies as well as our brains or minds. We create experiences that help us learn from the neck down again, as we did while children. Here’s one of my sea memories. Perhaps you have childhood memories of the ocean. Perhaps it is time to go back.

Our first retreat is on the coast of Ireland in July 2016, where we will combine surfing, writing, and yoga for an experience unlike any other, exploring the powerful energy of the sea in metaphoric and literal ways that will illuminate what it means to ride the waves of life.

Follow us on Facebook. And on Instagram. And Twitter. You’ll be treated to amazing photography, essays, and resources for living your best embodied, adventurous, creative life.

Go to Arts & Crafts classes, sing-a-longs, and storytelling by the bonfire with s’mores

Hi there! Last week I saw a writing retreat in February, but now I can’t seem to find it on your site. I’d love to register, if I could only find the right page! Can you help?

    Thanks!

    • Elizabeth –

Thank you so much for your interest.

Unfortunately, this retreat is being rescheduled because of an unexpected and unavoidable conflict, and I don’t have the new dates yet. Check back for the new dates soon!

      Patti
